Economic and Business Modeling Unit was established in October 2002 in the School of Business. The Unit aims to enhance research and development activities in the economic and business modeling areas. More specifically, the Unit intends to establish strategic linkages with industry, government and other higher learning institutions in the country and region through collaborative activities and contracted projects and partnerships.
The Unit will also provide:
· a ‘one-stop' statistical consulting service for researchers, honours and postgraduate students in the university.
· repository of databases
· workshops on modeling and statistical techniques, various econometric and statistical software for staff of the School of Business and for private and public sector personnel.
Associate Prof. Muthi Samudram is the Director of the Economic and Business Modeling Unit.
