The Statistical Consulting Service (SCS) is a unit within the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia, which provides consultation on a broad range of statistical problems and on the use of computers for statistical analysis. The services provided by the SCS extend beyond business to other disciplines that make use of statistics. Consultation is available to assist staff and students in research design, data collection, data analysis, statistical computing, and the presentation of statistical material.

Consultation is provided by a group of staff drawn from the School of Business. The staff at SCS have extensive experience with various statistical analysis. Areas for which assistance is available include: questionnaire design, sample selection and data collection methods, survey sampling methods, exploratory data analysis, experimental design, categorical data analysis, longitudinal data analysis, regression analysis, multivariate analysis, cluster analysis, and statistical computing.

Level of Assistance

Students and staff are eligible for statistical assistance. Staff at SCS can help research students and staff to plan the data collection, analyse the data, interpret the statistical analysis, present statistical results, and use a statistical package on a computer, but staff at SCS will not write the thesis/project for students.
 

Service is available to provide help with quick questions. This service will operate during consultation hour of Monday, 10am - 12pm and Thursday, 10am - 12pm. Service can be obtained by appointment.
