Vanitha Sundra-Karean, Dr
LL.B (Hons) (London), CLP (Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia), LL.M (UM), PhD (Queensland)

Dr Vanitha Karean is a Senior Lecturer with the School of Business. Her principal research interest is in comparative employment law and comparative public law. She has researched and published in international journals including Theoretical Inquiries in Law, Asia Pacific Law Review and LAWASIA Journal. She has presented papers as an invited speaker at international conferences, including academic and industry seminars in the area of employment law. She has also co-authored the book Australian Constitutional Law, Commentary and Cases (OUP). Dr Vanitha Karean is a pro-tem committee member of the Malaysian Chapter of the International Society of Labour and Social Security Law and has worked in Malaysian and Australian tertiary institutions prior to joining Monash University Sunway campus. These include HELP University College in Kuala Lumpur, where she taught constitutional law, administrative law and labour law on English and Malaysian law degree programs and the T.C.Beirne School of Law, University of Queensland, where she taught constitutional law and administrative law.
